World No. 7 tennis player, Holger Rune, has announced his decision to retain Patrick Mouratoglou as his head coach, effective immediately. In a statement released on Wednesday, Rune expressed his excitement about resuming work with Mouratoglou, highlighting their past successes and shared ambitions for the future.
“I am excited to resume working with Patrick,” Rune stated. “With him I have achieved some of the greatest triumphs of my career so far, and I can’t wait for us to chase the next major titles together. Moving ahead, we have had good talks on how our collaboration should unfold, and we have agreed on a strong setup that creates the best conditions for my performance.”
This announcement follows Rune’s recent separation from Boris Becker, who guided him during the indoor season, and Severin Luthi, his head coach during the Australian Open. Rune’s decision to reunite with Mouratoglou signals a strategic shift in his coaching setup, as he seeks to build on his past achievements and propel himself to even greater heights in the world of tennis.
